About

Missy Moos Dog Grooming, based at Walnut Tree farm, St Brides is located between Cardiff and Newport.

Im Chelsea and I started MissyMoos Dog Grooming when my Miniature Schnauzer Missy was a puppy. I hated leaving her and had always wanted to work with animals so attended a grooming course at a local college originally just to able to groom Missy but after completing the course and falling in love with grooming I was lucky enough to be able to gain more experience with an apprenticeship in a busy Salon in Barry.

This gave me the experience I needed to take on my next challenge of opening my very own salon. A fantastic opportunity became available to me with a space available to rent at Walnut Tree Farm Park which is conveniently located between Cardiff and Newport .

I have built an amazing client base here and my customers are amazing, I always look forward to seeing my doggy and human customers again and again, in 10 years I have built up some firm relationships both with the dogs and their owners.

Late 2019 we had a fantastic salon makeover with a full renovation including, new tables, dryers, flooring and decorating.

In 2017 we added Tinkerbell the Cavapoo to our family and she has been an amazing addition, giving Missy a new lease of life and me an amazing grooming model.

I now have 10 years experience dog grooming and in 2019 entered my first grooming competition where I placed 1st grooming my own dog Tinkerbell. This was such a proud moment for me as I have always lacked confidence in my grooms and was nervous about entering grooming competitions. I then went on to compete in another competition late 2019, I didnt place in what was an amazingly strong category but took away amazing feedback and have applied this experience to grooms following this competition. I look forward to attending more competitions in 2020.
